Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia had a baby boy

On Tuesday evening the news about the birth of a new royal baby reached the Swedish press.
At 6.28 PM the Swedish Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia became parents for the first time.
At a press conference at 9.30 PM, at the hospital Danderyds sjukhus in the Swedish capital Stockholm, Prince Carl Philip revealed more details about the baby.
– We had a baby boy. It weighs 3 595 grams and is 49 centimiters long, he told the reporters.
– For me and my wife, this is obviously a big day with a lot of emotions.
Both the parents and the baby are doing well, according to a press release from the Swedish Royal Court.
